I was planning a long entry about why my birthday sucks this year, and why I'm not throwing a party like I did last year, but screw that noise. I had fun yesterday with Joel, he and Jen treated me to dinner, then the three of us went out and saw Spy Kids 3D (which rocks!). So, for all intents and purposes, yesterday was my birthday. Today was just the day I had to deal with talking to my parents...

Have you seen any of the movies in the series?

All three are great. The fact that they're kids' movies is secondary to the fact that they're Robert Rodriguez movies. If you liked Desperado, chances are you'll like these.

In other words, don't knock 'em 'till you've tried 'em... :-)

Did you see the first two?

You do realize it's the same writer-director as Desperado and El Mariachi, right?

Just because they're "family" movies, doesn't mean they're just kids movies.

And look who's talking, Mr. Pokemon...
