I also like the haircut. Very nice.
You try Gamma World yet? It's extremely popular at my shop.
I haven't tried Gamma World yet, but I'm definitely interested in doing so. Not willing to buy a kit without experiencing it first, however...
Guess you'll need to come on down and play :)
At first I thought you'd died it blue...again :) It looks good.
Nope, that's just the fluorescent lighting combined with the low resolution webcam.
The styling works, both the shorter hair and the trimmed beard. More professional without the button-down look.
And while suck for having health issues, good to see that the job is steady and has the benefits to take care of it.
This is Anne, but I wouldn't friend this unless you want to expose yourself to my Dragon Age fanfic. No seriously, don't.
Thanks for the warning...
Five different games? How frequent are these games?
I have the one weekly game that Jeremy is running, and while I continually get the urge to run something of my own or find another group to play with in addition to Jeremy's, the fact is that I don't have time. Between Michelle and AOKP, all of my after-hours free time is spoken for.
The hair looks good. You look a lot younger and a lot less likely to harass me for spare change in front of the Albertson's.
Two of the games are weekly (the 4e and the Scion games). Two alternate weeks (the 3.5 and Pathfinder), and the Serenity game is every other week-ish (that GM is fairly busy with school right now, so he's not always prepared to run).
Oh, and...could you spare some change? I swear I won't use it to buy drugs...

Re: Gaming frequency
That's a lot of gaming. The last group I was in played weekly, but switched campaigns every three sessions. It was very jarring, and hard to get into any one particular storyline. I'm busy enough with AOKP and Michelle that I don't really have time for more than one game.
How do you like Pathfinder? I own a couple of the core rulebooks but I haven't had a chance to play it yet. As far as I can see, the biggest changes were in the character classes.

Re: Gaming frequency
Pathfinder's good. It's basically D&D 3.75. The core classes were all made a little more powerful, which makes them equivalent to some of the later classes that came out in 3.5 (like the Warlock). Skills were somewhat condensed and simplified (e.g. Perception instead of Spot, Listen and Search), but not down to the bare bones list of 4e. I think you'd enjoy it as much as you do any other system.
If you move here, you can game as much at my shop :) Erik is in a bi-weekly Serenity, we have Encounters, an ongoing D&D separate, Pathfinder and Gamma World. Not including the Magic games.
i hope you don't mind that I added your lj! You seem to post frequent enough and I type livejournal into facebook and you popped right up :). I am trying to restart mine and none of my friends use it anymore
That's totally cool by me. I don't post nearly as often as I used to (check back in the archives, when I posted multiple times a day...), but when I do post, it's usually something important to me.
so I will enjoy reading when you do post then! I used to post allll the time too, but turned to fb. eff facebook! lj is where it is at!
I like the haircut! I see your eyes a lot more. I don't know if it's the picture, the haircut, or the fact that I miss you a TON!
I'm glad that you've sought help for your health issues, but sorry you'r having them in the first place. I too have suffered from insomnia at times and the best thing I can tell you is to use your bed for sleeping only. Don't watch TV or read in bed. Also, excercize. Getting up and excercizing early in the day will help you boost your body and feel more awake, which will bring around the sleepiness an hopefully help you sleep through the night.
((hugs)) Yay for 5 games! I bet you're super happy!
Yeah, I know I should use the bed for sleeping only, but having the bed to myself again, and owning a laptop, it's way too easy to slip...
The haircut makes you look even more familiar. It's amazing how little our faces change over the decades, while still being dramatically different...
I guess I can see it, but for the most part when I see pictures of me in elementary school and younger, I'm like "Who is that kid, and how did he grow up to look like me?" Especially when I think about my dad, who literally has baby pictures that you look at and say, "It's Skip, just shrunk down..."
Yeah, someone commented to me recently how much my son looks like me, and my brain just doesn't see it...
Looking at the two of you, I can sort of see it. But, if you want a mother/child look-alike contest, Jayme Markle and her daughter win hands down. :)
I fully approve of this change. :D
Holy... I think I might now have longer hair than you do...
It's a good change. Glad to hear you're working, having fun, and doing well. As for gaming, I'm also running a 4e campaign, plus playing in occasional one-shots whenever people are running them and they invite me. Have you tried Savage Worlds? I haven't gotten to yet, but I hear there's a great deal of good to be said for it.
I think it looks good.
I miss games (yes, I am jealous). At least I'm still Larping every other Friday.
As for the insomnia, when you find a cure let me know, and if I do I'll do the same you. Although, I do get 8-hrs sleep every third day or so, but that's a personal rhythm o' mine. Maybe your mind's too active? I fill mine with senseless video games to make me sleepy.
I know I totally suck at reading LJ, but I had to jump on when I ran into Shing at Tappy's wedding (I KNOW, RIGHT?!?!) and she told me you'd cut your hair. Looks nice! Johnnie and I both think that it takes years off of you. Very sharp. I'm sure you'll get used to it in no time.
