Not much going on today... [Aug. 12th, 2002|05:58 pm]

Fairly standard day at work, and no real big news in other portions of my life.

Oh, one new thing at work. The employees voted, and it's now been decided that we take a 45 minute lunch instead of half an hour. Of course, that means our shifts will be 15 minutes longer. It's not going to make a huge difference for me, though, since the new schedule takes effect September 2nd, and September 10th is my last day. But that will most likely change when I leave from work that Thursday (September 6th) to go to AOKP, Joel.

Other than that, looking forward to going home in a couple of hours, and hopefully chatting with Amy. It feels like it's been a while, although it's only been a little less than a week.

Yeah, but I expected that eventually...

Let me know when it's safe to laugh at you for all the contradictions... :-) (First the PDA Rant, now this... hehehehe)

Hold on...

The PDA Rant, I did exactly what I promised I would do. I said that if someone pointed it out to me, I would back off to a more reasonable level, which I did. What I forgot to plan for was my partner knowing about this promise, and using that information to torture me...

To whom?

So in other words, it's not OK to criticize, but laughing is acceptable even now..... *g*

Whomever you like...

Right.

And you can criticize as much as you like, as well. I'm hard to offend...But, I will defend myself if I think your criticism is off somehow (see above).

what does the acronym AOKP stand for?

AOKP

It stands for the Arturian Order of the Knights of Pendragon.

It's a Live Action Role Playing type of group. I've mentioned them quite a few times throughout my journal.

They also have a website, if you're curious to find out more...

Re: AOKP

ok its what I thought it was. I knew a guy in Whittier, CA named Mark Anthony Masterson who used to do AOKP.

I was even at some event that involved newbies defending a large rock of some sort.

That would be RockGuard...

Huh. Small world...Mark's a great guy. He makes occasional visits to court still, but it's pretty rare these days.

And of course, he still's Mister Wonderful.

Ralph's

I used to live in Ventura, and I used to visit Ralph's on a regular basis to buy D&D and Dragonlance stuff. Then, I got into Marvel Super Heroes Role-Playing. From there, I started buying the Marvel trading cards. (Note: Trading cards. This was before Magic or any of its clones...) Finally, that led me into reading comic books. And now, I'm a $150-200/month comic book addict.

Mike's also the one responsible for me getting obsessed with Speedball, the Masked Marvel.

KHAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!
