Doesn't seem likely.

RotK = New Line
SM2 = Sony

It might be distributed to theatres at the same time, but I just don't see the two being packaged together...

Not literally

I think she was talking about the preview being shown before RotK, not the two DVDs coming out as a package deal. Even if they were produced by the same company, that would be bizarre.

I was talking about in the theatre as well.

If my understanding is correct, studios generally package trailers with their movies for their next movies. That's how Scooby Doo 2, Harry Potter 3, and Polar Express got shown before every showtime of Looney Toons: Back In Action.

In addition to that, studios send reels of trailers to movie theatres to distribute as they see fit. So you get trailers for next year's summer blockbusters before, well, just about everything.

My thought was that Sony won't attach the SM2 trailer to RotK, since it's from a competing company. But if they distributed at the same time, you might see it before that film anyway.

Doc Ock was cool. The car through the window was cool. The focus on Spidey swinging through the city--not so cool. Well, it was cool, but it wasn't anything new. Still, as a sequel, if Spidey 2 comes even close to the quality and success of its predecessor, I'll be happy.
