When you're willing to compromise and are arguing with someone who isn't, you'll always lose.

Still, your determination for arguing what you believed in is very admirable. In this instance, however, you were in the extreme minority of opinion.

As cliche as it may sound, sometimes compromise is not an option, in which case you have a battle of wills. Thats probably the justification for many wars but also the roots of a strong belief system.

In the end though, I try to remember that certain circumstances shouldn't be too passionately defended or fought for because they can be fairly trivial compared to others. I figure that theres no need to make things personal as often happens amongst our group of friends, and there certainly issues that aren't above rational conversation. But then again, I hate arguing.

I wish I knew what happened, but I hope the "losing" feeling only lasted a little while. You're cool! yeeeeeaaaaaa!
