Relaxing Saturday [Mar. 13th, 2010|07:54 pm]

So, nice lazy Saturday today, for the most part, and yet I feel like I accomplished stuff too. Got up (around 9am), made French Toast for breakfast, ran the dishwasher while eating, and tried watching Star Trek IV with commentary. Sadly, William Shatner and Leonard Nimoy were so boring, it was unbelievable. I ended up turning it off before they even went back in time. Went upstairs, took a shower, came back down, and started laundry. Played in a freeroll poker tournament while waiting for the library to open. I'm really falling back in love with the library up here. I've been checking out an average of 6 or 7 books every couple of weeks. I've now read almost all of Christopher Moore's catalog, and this week I checked out the Robin Hobb books that I haven't read yet. I also checked out a book by Tim Powers. If I remember right, ideaspace recommended his work highly.

Anyways, after the library, came back home, had lunch, unloaded the dishwasher, cleaned up around the kitchen, and then played another freeroll tourney, while talking to emailgirl, who invited me to her birthday celebration next Sunday (not tomorrow, but a week from then). Should be fun. It's only the second time I've seen her since moving up here (the first time was a random run-in at Fred Meyers, which freaked her out, as she had forgotten I was planning on moving up here), and it'll be my first time meeting her husband, Tyler.

Now, I should fix something for dinner, and probably use the dryer to fluff my clothes before folding them and putting them away...

(Day 2! 28 to go...)

I love the library here, too! I've been working on The Stand for the last month or so and have had to renew it 3 times! FYI, you can also use the University library with your local library card. It's a great resource.
