Oh well. I want to talk about Megan...
Excerpt from our conversation tonight...This starts right after Megan apologized for going away for a while, to work on a costume for Night of Grand Questing...
Megan: how long was I gone?
Kurt: How long were you booted, or how long from "I'll be back" to "I'm sorry!!!" ?
M: from I'll be back to I'm sorry
K: Hmm...That's harder to estimate...At least ten minutes, probably more like 15...
M: Im sorry
K: That's okay. I had people to keep me company...I'm not completely addicted to you yet... :-)
K: What's the :-\ for?
M: not sure how to take the not addicted to you yet comment
K: Let me put it another way...I love spending time with you. Online, or in person. But, I can survive spending 15 minutes without you. I'm very attracted to you, but I'm not one of those people who needs to spend every single second with the person he has feelings for...
K: Okay. The way you were apologizing it almost felt like you felt like I was that kind of person...Want to assure you I'm not...
K: Did you think I was / am?
M: no. habit I guess..
K: Ah. From your last relationship?
M: where else?
K: Well, let me say this once, because once should be sufficient...I'm not Ernie. (Side note: Neither is Ernie, but I can't remember Megan's ex's name anymore...)
M: I know, I know. But old habits die hard. But trust me I'm trying to kill them
K: That's good. I'll be here to help, if you want...
M: okay, thank you
K: You're welcome. *hugs*
M: *hugs back*
K: If I ever do anything that scares you like that, let me know...
M: I will.
M: but I don't think you'll have to worry much
K: Good. Open communication is the key to any relationship...
Why do you say that? Am I just that great a guy? :-)
M: Yes you are. :-)
K: Wow. Wasn't expecting that. Thank you.
M: you're welcome
K: You're pretty wonderful, yourself.
M: thank you
Still skirting around that whole "love" word, although it's getting harder for me to do so. Let's see: "love spending time with you," "very attracted to you," "have feelings for."
And when I said "Wow. Wasn't expecting that." I really did mean that. I mean, I left myself open there for an easy slam. Usually when we do that to each other, even if we're in the middle of talking about something more serious, we each take the opportunity to playfully cap on the other. For her to go in the complete opposite direction and say something like that really surprised me.
