Bone tired... [Jan. 1st, 2001|08:28 pm]
Kurt Onstad
Spent New Year's Eve with Riki. We stayed up until about 2am, and fell asleep in each other's arms, which was really nice...

But, here's the problem. I'm still not used to sleeping next to someone in bed, especially someone who still makes my heart race just being next to her. So, while I did get to sleep, I kept waking up in the middle of the night. It was better than last week, when I probably slept a total of two hours. I think this time, I slept three or four total. With further exposure to this situation, I'm sure I'll get to a point where I can actually sleep through the entire night...

So, I mentioned that my heart raced being near her. I mean that fairly literally. While she was around, I was still on an adrenaline high (I believe I was told earlier that the actual chemical is eponephrine...Is that right?), but I went into work, and my body just crashed...For the first two hours, I almost fell asleep in front of my station. Not a good thing. I took a nap during both my 15 minute breaks (or something close to a nap, more like a meditation...) so I'm feeling better now, and not in danger of collapsing in an unconscious heap, but if anyone sees me online tonight, just say "Kurt, go to sleep!"

Rethinking the "William Randolph Hearst approach to sleep."

My absence...

It's very difficult to add new entries when 1) I'm busy at work, and 2) The only computer that connects to the internet is crashing every five minutes or so...I will be back in due time, but for now, don't expect regular updates. I apologize for those of you who are regular readers.
