Not a whole lot to say... [Aug. 30th, 2001|01:20 am]

But, it's late at night, and I'm a little bored and a little depressed, so I might as well type.

Met someone new and interesting recently. Her name's Laura and she lives nowhere near me. So, technically, I haven't actually met her, but you know what I mean. We've spent quite a bit of time talking to each other since we met through a mutual friend (Maire, mentioned way earlier...) I really enjoy talking to her and flirting with her, and she seems to enjoy doing the same back. We seem to have a lot in common so far, and it's just one of those things where I felt very comfortable talking with her right away, and vice versa, from what she's told me. The only frustrating part is that she lives on the other side of the country.

Well, actually, that's not the only frustrating part...The past couple of nights, my roommates have been using their computer later than usual for them (I'm still computerless, so I'm dependent on the kindness of my roommates and the fact that their computer is in the living room. But, I've got money set aside in a savings account that is getting larger and getting me closer to a new computer...) So, I haven't gotten a chance to talk to her at all. It's been disappointing getting online and not seeing her there. That probably sounds pathetic, but it's true.

Other than that, hasn't been a lot interesting going on in my life lately. I'm seeing a concert next weekend. It's one of my favorite bands, although most of you reading this probably have never heard of them (Actually, considering that I probably know most of the people who read this, there's a pretty good chance that the complete opposite is true...) They're called The Uninvited. If you enjoy Barenaked Ladies or They Might Be Giants, or other "Geek Rock" bands, as I tend to classify those, you'll enjoy them as well. Check them out when you have a chance.
