|And now for the longer entry...

I wanted to write about this back on Monday when my memory of it was clearer, but LiveJournal was not cooperating with me at the time...Anyways...|
I took the day off on Sunday because of the Super Bowl. But not to watch the game. I took the opportunity to finally do something I had been talking about doing for a while. Going to Disneyland on Super Bowl Sunday. Since I'm moving much closer to the park, and have many friends who also have passes, I've decided to buy an annual pass (did that the Saturday before this one, when I went with Joel, Jessica and Tiffany. That was another fun time, and I got a compliment that I didn't expect to get from Jessica. Remind me to mention that sometime...). I showed up at Disneyland around 9:30am, did a few rides, then Jpel and Jen met me there around 11. Jen left around 5:30pm, then Joel and I hung out until the park closed. It wasn't as empty as it could have been, because the game was one of those that everyone thought they knew the outcome of (turns out they were wrong, but whatever...), but still the longest line we had to wait in was for the Matterhorn (no Fastpass there yet) and was about half an hour. In just four and a half hours, we did a bunch of different rides, splitting our time between both parks. Unlike Jen, I actually want to do the rides when I go to Disneyland...
Right as the park was closing, Joel and I were walking down Main Street, heading out, and we just happen to run into Mark (aka Tristan in AOKP) and his girlfriend. We chatted for a while in front of the store they had walked out of, then decided to go out to Denny's afterwards. We completely geeked out, talking about everything from computers to comic books to AOKP and role-playing. Other than the 20th anniversary of AOKP event, that was the longest I've ever gotten to chat with Tristan. He's a really great guy, and has inspired me in some way almost every time I've talked to him...
All in all, it was just an extraordinarily fun day. It went very long though. I woke up around 8:45am, and went to bed around 3:00am. Then went to work the next day. Man, was I tired...But, it was definitely worth it. And I hope the beginning of a tradition.
