Gah! I have so much stuff...20 Long boxes of comics, 5 short boxes. Two TVs. More books and CDs than I can shake a large stick at (which I have to shake at them) Plus, I still have a lot of older Mac equipment that I'm slowly but surely selling off...The struggle for me now is to figure out where to put all this stuff. It should actually be a little easier here than at my old place, because I get to use my bookshelf and my rolltop desk to store some stuff, as opposed to my roommates taking them both over. But, it's still a lot of stuff to deal with.

Yeah, yeah, I know. My wallets too small for my 50s and my diamond shoes are too tight, but right now this is a real concern for me. I need to move enough stuff to be able to sleep tonight...

20 long, 5 short? Bah, you piker! I wish I only had that few to move. :)

Er...what Mac stuff are you selling? I may be interested ("he said, despite the fact he needs to be saving money for his own move").

Considering I started reading comics at age 16, and am now 27, I think that's a pretty impressive collection. Especially considering that at age 18, I was still only up to one long box and one short. Once I hit college, that's when things got really out of hand...

Mac stuff: It's all pretty old. The newest system I have is an LC 475, but I've heard of people who use that as a dedicated server still, so it's not worthless. I'm asking $20/system. I've also got plenty of miscellaneous stuff, from older printers (dot matrix, inkjet and laser) to 800k floppy drives. Basically what happened is an acquaintance took down an old school computer lab, and offered me all the equipment for a song, and I've been slowly selling it off. If you're interested in any of that, let me know and I'm sure we can come up with some deal...

Ah, I was just joshing you about the comics. :) Actually, as I'm looking at what I have, where I'm moving, and how many truckloads it's gonna take, I'm honestly wishing I only had a long box or two.

As for the Mac stuff...darn, I was kind of hoping you had a scanner floating around. I'd like one for home use, rather than just mooching off the one at work. Beyond that, I can't think of anything I'm really looking for (of course, it's late and I'm tired, so my brain isn't working properly now anyway). Do you have old software you're selling?

I don't even have a scanner myself yet...

So, that'd be a big no on any scanners to sell...As for old software, I had one guy come and take a few titles off my hands, but I've still got Microsoft Office for System 7 era computers. All of the software I have is system 7 or older, so if you're running System 8, you may run into issues with it. System 9 or X and you're pretty much screwed...

I'm still using Ready Set Go! 4.5, a page layout program from 1988, on my PowerMac running System 9.1. It really blows my mind that it's still compatible (aside from an occasional non-fatal glitch with the screen saver).

Huh.

That is impressive. Well, like I said, I've got Microsoft Office. I've also got some other older programs. If there's anything specific you're looking for, let me know, and I'll rummage through the pile.
