|Wow. That was a funky one...

Don't often post tech stuff in here, but I thought you guys would get a kick out of this one:|
(Name changed to cover my ass...I also edited for spelling and such. I think I got all of those minor errors, but possibly not.)
Pete: Kurt, can you help with a major phone access screwup?
Me: I can certainly try. What exactly is your issue?
Pete: Long answer - don't give up - I'm typing as fast as I can - OK?
Pete: I have two phone lines coming into my home. One for voice service - one dedicated for internet access. I also have ATT cable.
Pete: When ATT installed my internet access number, my internet worked perfectly. I had ATT cable install my new cable TV access and now I have a huge problem.
Me: What exactly is the problem?
Pete: I now have no computer access. Error message says "No dial tone". What has happened is the internet number rings on my bedroom phone. My main phone (voice access) is on my kitchen phone, and when my cable TV is on and I get a phone call on my now bedroom phone (which is really my internet line) - my cable TV access is now interupted. Who the hell do I call to correct the problem?
I directed him to the local phone company. Sounded like a wiring mixup at the phone box coming into the house. Anyone have other thoughts, just out of curiousity?
