|Pretty simple rules for when driving while water is falling from the sky...

Okay, people. Let's go over this again...|
1) Realize that it will take a little more time to get where you're going. No matter what, your trip will take longer, so leave a little earlier. That way, you're not in as huge of a rush.
2) Don't try to drive exactly the same as when it's dry. Once the oil has been washed off the road (usually about 1/2 an hour of good rain), you can drive nearly the same safely, but not exactly the same.
3) Don't tailgate. People are more likely to be needing to stop suddenly, and your brakes are less likely to respond as quickly as you're used to.
4) Slow the fuck down. 80MPH in the slow lane is no longer a good idea. 80MPH in the fast lane isn't a good idea during rain...
If we all follow these fairly simple rules, there's less likely to be accidents, and we'll get to where we want/need to go in a reasonable amount of time...
