|Kurt's Movie Corner...

So, last Friday, Joel and I were planning on seeing "Bad Company." I wasn't particularly enthused about seeing the movie that night (and based on reviews I've heard, I doubt that will change much...), and tried to convince Joel to go see "Divine Secrets of the Ya-Ya Sisterhood" instead. He already had promised that he'd see it with his Um, so we looked at what was playing, and noticed that "Undercover Brother" had also been released recently. We watched the trailer for it again, and laughed, and also noticed that Neil Patrick Harris was in it. We were a little reticent about seeing it, but decided to go anyways.|
Good thing we did. This movie is hilarious, for all races. The humor, while much of it is racially based, is inclusive and not exclusive. It probably would be even funnier if you were more familiar with the 70s blaxpoitation films like Shaft and Foxy Brown, but they aren't necessary for you to enjoy. The whole cast does a great job, especially Eddie Griffin (the star), Neil Patrick Harris (looking more like Doogie Howser than he has in years...), and Chris Kattan (seriously, the guy can act...Watch "Monkeybone" if you don't believe me.)
Go, watch, enjoy...
