Did I mention yet that I saw some movies last weekend? Not yet? Oh, well, I should.

First off, Reign of Fire. The pacing on this movie is horrible. The characters are two-dimensional (if that), and the story is completely predictable. If you want to see pretty pictures of dragons, go look at some Larry Elmore art. At least those dragons have some personality.

As a side note, to give you an idea of how quickly thrown together this movie was, the trailer opens up saying "London, 2084 A.D." It's not spoiling much, if anything, to tell you that the movie takes place mostly in 2025 or so. (I don't remember the exact date, but it's definitely 60 years off or so from what the trailer says.)

The other movie I saw this weekend was The Powerpuff Girls Movie. If you haven't watched an episode of the show yet, you're really missing out. It's got a lot more adult humor than you would think, and the same is true of the movie as well. But, it's hidden well enough and with enough straight out action that the kids can enjoy it as well. Of course, they're going to need to find a different villain if they do a sequel to the movie, because I think they ran through every single monkey joke there is...
