Last week, I lost my ATM card (I think I left it at the gas station, but they didn't find it...). As soon as I realized this, I called my bank, so they could make that card invalid and send me a new one. Unfortunately, it still hasn't arrived yet. If it hasn't arrived by the time I get home today, I get to call and bitch out my bank.

Let me tell you, if you haven't gone a stretch of time with no bank card, it's quite interesting. I can just remember the first Versateller being put into the Bank of America that my mom worked at in Huntington Beach. So, of course, ever since I've had my own bank account, I've had an ATM card. And since it became an ATM check card, I've gotten used to paying for pretty much everything but fast food and the rent check with it. Don't have cash on you? Just stop at an ATM anywhere, no problem...Suddenly, that's a problem. I had to write a check to Josh for the Weird Al tickets the other day, and right now I'm on my last drops of gas because I couldn't get anymore cash until today, when I was able to actually go inside a bank.

I'm really looking forward to getting that replacement card...

Great, another Money Saga

You do intend to let us know the conclusion of yours, right?

Conclusion: Don't lose stuff...

Or, maybe that's the moral. But, I will let you know when I have my ATM card again, so that people can start targeting me to steal it...

You know, I didn't even have an ATM card until a couple months ago, and I've only used it a couple times since then...both times at my place of employment, just to make sure 1) the check card aspect worked, and 2) that the ATM and PIN worked.

I also don't have a cel phone, which apparently everyone needs to get by in today's society. I did finally buy an answering machine, however. :)

It's official. You're a freak.

I use my ATM card to pay for practically everything now...it's a whole lot more efficient, and with online banking, I'm keeping much better track of how much is in my account...

My sister got me a cel phone with pre-paid minutes for Christmas (or my birthday...One of those gift-giving occasions), but I use it fairly sparingly...

People without answering machines have started to piss me off. It's gotten to the point where that's a basic thing that you should buy with any phone line. But, maybe I'm more of a technophile than most...
